What do you get when you mix 45 energetic, enthusiastic women with a trendy dining spot and enough energy to light up several blocks of of downtown Los Angeles for at least a few weeks (years?)? “Young Female Entrepreneurs: Los Angeles”. Each event exceeds my expectations – I’m wowed by the caliber of women who show up for themselves and their peers. Check out the May and July event recaps!
Special thanks (times 1,000,000!) to Jennifer Donogh for everything, but especially for flying in from Seattle to be with us; to Nicole Lennox for sharing her gift and talent as a photographer – all these photos are courtesy of her; to Donna, Nailah and Sharzad for sharing their stories with humor and grace; to Jill and Dorothy for arriving early to help and sponsoring gift bags for everyone attending. I could not have pulled this off without support from these women and from those of you who attended the event. Sharing photos and quotes from women who attended the event!
I absolutely loved YFE L.A.! Meeting so many ambitious, accomplished women entrepreneurs was good for the soul. And finding new collaboration project opportunities was good for business. Can’t wait until the next event! - Jules Young Taggart, Kickstart Kitchen
I am still flying high from last night! Thank you all for being so kind and amazing. I’ve got a stack of business cards on my desk this morning … I’d love to connect with you all here in the world of social media and out in the actual real world too! – Donna Queza, The Marketing Optimist
LOVED meeting all of you ladies last night! I’m still recovering from all of the fun, insight & laughter. If I didn’t get a chance to meet you personally, please reach out. I’d love to stay connected with everyone. – Nailah Blades, Polka Dot Coaching
WOW! The best group of young-fabulous-savvy-ambitious
Thank you to all the wonderful ladies for being so welcoming and full of great advice and inspiration. No hesitation about going to the next event. - Joanna Krenich, ChirpBlogger.com
I had such a great time last night meeting all of you. It was so refreshing to be around so many like minded women. I cannot wait for the next event and being able to support all of you. Kudos to the organizers and speakers. - La Niecia Vicknair, Alternative Design Group
I didn’t get to talk to every single person, but those that I did have chat with, I had an amazing time! It was nice to meet all of you! – Kimberly Brown, Her Name is Kim
Great job to all the speakers. Left the event feeling really inspired about this next phase in my life. Looking forward to getting involved in the online community, as well as the future events! – Malice Strong
And how I felt at the end of the evening… devilishly blissed that everything came together seamlessly. Border Grill could not have provided a better space, food or hospitality – truly they were an integral part of the evening. I’m very certain their specialty Cadillac margaritas I had also helped me to relax and enjoy the night as YFE L.A.’s organizer! Please let me know in the comments if you have any thoughts, suggestions or just want to send a shout-out for your business or one of the women featured in this post’s photos. I cannot wait to share with you all what I have up my sleeve for November’s event!

Thank you for this recap! What a fabulous night with some amazingly inspiring women. I can’t believe it just keeps getting better! I’m so stoked for the next one :) xoxo
Loved seeing you and meeting new motivated and positive women. Thanks for the recap, and I can’t wait to join in the fun again in November! Big HUGS! – Jill
Nicole Lennox, gorgeous photos! Incredible how bright these photos are considering how dark it was in there. Agreed, Erin you did an awesome job finding the location- Border Grill was a fantastic host.
Congrats on another successful meetup- you’re the best!!
Ok…the darkness! I have to admit that my insides screamed a little when I walked in when I saw the darkness. I’m so glad no detail was lost! What a great night. And thank you so much Jenn! It was great to meet you.
I had such a blast! (I always do.) Nailah, Donna, Sharzad, Nicole, and of course, Erin – you all blew me away with your stories and your advice and these beautiful photos. And Border Grill – your food (and sangria) was my everything that night. I can’t wait to be back! Erin, thank you for bringing this amazing community together. After just two events, I’ve been inspired and motivated and I’ve met great contacts and lifelong friends. I’m looking forward to November!
Thank you for the kind words, Jenna!
Thank you Jenna!! See you in November!
Thank you so much for hosting! So glad I finally made it out and got to meet you and all of the fabulous — and amazingly inspiring– women who were there. Border Grill and its staff were incredible, especially the waitress who was fanning us all by the end of the night (she was a godsend!) and I left the event feeling hot, sweaty, and completely ready to get on with collaborating and relaunching my business. Can’t wait for the next event!
Oh, and you looked amazing and flawless, as always ;)
Thanks, Lindsay! Glad you left feeling inspired and with new ideas for collaboration!
Erin, you know how to throw a party! And Nicole – wow! The photos are brilliant! Count me in for the next YFELA event!
Thanks Jules – it was such a pleasure to get to meet both you and Jenn in person! I have so much admiration for both of you. Would be honored to have you back in L.A. (and waiting to hear the story re: Friday!).
Aw, thank you Jules! I’m so glad you made the LOONNG trek to LA. Hope to see you next time.
It’s so inspiring to see such an empowered and empowering group of women together! We can never get enough of this!
I’m so sad I missed this one!!! It looks like a fabulous success!!! I also NEED that dress of yours:)

Cheers to an amazing host! What a lovely evening filled with new friends, potential collaborations and well….really good margs!
My turn to comment! I’m still reeling from this event. Kudos to you Erin for hosting and coordinating such an amazing thing that is YFELA. It’s clear that these meetups have made so many of us get the extra support and encouragement we need to continue to push further in our endeavors. Thank you for allowing me a small piece of that amazingness! xoxo
