Sunday marked my first venture to the famed Rose Bowl Flea Market. It was overcast, but that didn’t dampen the mood of bargain hunters, fashionistas & stylists, collectors and everyone in between as they searched through the offerings on the grounds of the iconic stadium. I found it to be overwhelming as a first-time visitor but the lots were packed out with hidden gems for anyone patient enough to sift through everything to score a great find! Watching people muse over their finds, squinting or mumbling aloud about the creative ways they would re-purpose their finds was inspiring. Upcycling, recycling, breathing new life and ingenuity into their wares – a reminder that all things in life deserve a second chance.
