Functional Fashion

I’m the first to admit I spend far too much time in my “workout” clothes. But in fairness, when your workout clothes are both stylish and functional it’s hard to peel yourself out of them… with the exception of post-super-sweaty exercise sessions! You guys know I’m an ambassador for Lorna Jane, but I haven’t really shared why I love this line. I have a difficult time reconciling my love/need for fashion and function. With Lorna Jane I don’t have compromise on what I want. The clothes are both stylish and functional with intelligent materials (read: sweat goes “bye-bye” super fast). I can run errands and end at the gym or pair the leggings and tops with my more casual wear. Lorna Jane seamlessly integrates into my lifestyle.

Yesterday I went shopping at the flagship store in Santa Monica. It was a fun afternoon of hanging out with the girls at the store and Liz, who was so sweet as to come in and snap fashion photos for this post. There is SO much color in the store and LJ is completely embracing the neon trend, which my child-of-the-80′s heart adores. The outfits are from the active wear line and the more lifestyle-oriented line (the green Deanna cargo pant is my favorite new purchase and the Mandolin Harem pant is selling out like crazy). I love being able to wear technical and cute clothes when riding my bike to meet clients.

And this weekend… come out and play! There’s a new Lorna Jane store opening at the Westlake Promenade on Saturday (tomorrow!) and I’m going to be there. Bonus: PALETA is providing a yummy assortment of pressed juices and healthy treats for the grand opening!
