Coming down from a weekend of highs makes Monday morning tough! The weekend began exploring the L.A. Arts District early in the morning on Friday as I listened to Sonja Rusala at Creative Mornings L.A. share her journey in life with a healthy dose of humor. She’s the creator of State of Unique, one of the best shopping experiences and events in L.A. On Saturday morning I taught my first cooking class (hoorah!) and loved every moment of it. I learned SO much and cannot wait to share a dedicated post on the experience – from why you should not use foil to the best kind of pasta to eat in order to not feel the icky-post-pasta-on-your-belly coma. You know what I’m talking about!
Today (Sunday!) was the BIG event! Nailah Blades of Polka Dot Coaching launched her inaugural Fierce Leadership Summit. It. Was. Uhhhhhh-maaaaaa-zing! My brain is on overload absorbing the incredible, savvy advice I heard today from coaches, branding experts and women who are loving life in a big way by chasing down their dreams (yesssss!). Stay tuned for their profiles to be featured in the ‘Dream Big’ series. Below are a few snapshots from today’s event + my 3 immediate to-do list following FLS!
We’ve all been out and exclaimed “WOW! Those shoes!” when seeing a great pair of pumps. Those shoes belong to No More Nylons founder and connector extraordinaire, Jodi Womack. Stay tuned into TEDxWomen to hear more from Jodi in the coming months, or attend a No More Nylons event.
Learn to love you. Be real. Be up front. Be uncompromising about who you are. Hearing author and doctor-to-be Danielle Dowling break down the basics of love, life and relationships was an absolute treat. Her thoughtful, truthful insights are perfect for anyone seeking a partner or in a relationship.
Twitter-mania! The hashtag #FLS2012 was pouring in from participants and people viewing the talks online. You can view all of the talks from the day via Livestream (including mine!).
My 3 immdiate action items following the Summit:
1.) Connect with the wondeful women I met via email or real mail this week. I love letters or notes!
2.) Write – re-write my bios! The bio page is the most-visited page on your site (thank you to Alaia Williams and Danielle Leslie for this reminder!).
3.) Determine my business strategy moving forward. I receive a lot of compliments on the site’s appearance and the blog content (thank you!), but I need to take the next big step and say to the world “this is what I want”. Time to manifest!
It was a wonderful day of expressing, listening, meeting like-minded women and engaging in uplifting conversation. I’m ready to tackle my next big things! Ready to join me? Share your big plan – your big dream below. I’d love to help you get started with your big dreams (especially if you want to put together a game plan for more energy!) via a conversation, email exchange, Skype – whatever works for you!

So wonderful meeting you! I’m cruising over to your site tonight! And connecting you with the Travel Channel connection. My strategy would be to rally your Twitter friends to tweet the sh*t out of Travel channel – #SharzadTravels! xo!
