{{ green juice batched up for the days ahead }}
Like most people in this country, my personal and professional life are tied to having an online presence. I have a confession: even I have days where 12 hours goes by and I realize the only times I’ve gotten off my butt are to re-fuel my stomach and brain. It’s not healthy and it’s not balanced. What makes me feel good when my week gets insane? Going on a diet, of course! This diet consists of turning off phones, ignoring emails and even shying away from internet for a large chunk of time. Go without for an entire day if you can. My promise: this will make you a happier, healthier and quite possibly more sexy person.
UNPLUG. Nothing will ever replace the beauty of our interpersonal relationships: coffee with a friend, a walk with a loved one, a night out … whatever it is that brings you closer to people. So you can then be friends on Facebook and Twitter, of course ;).

Yes… I’m “plugged in” on late Sunday as I prep for the week ahead (after taking a 36-hour diet period). Two of my very best friends have been visitors this month, which I love since I haven’t seen either in at least a year. This week ahead has a long list: being la domestique & resident chef, signing a lease on a new place (!!!), flying to San Francisco for business, and teaching an entire class of brand-new students at RealRyder. And taxes (blah). Breathing, balancing and loving each moment.

Last week was busy, but full of new discoveries and ventures: a raw, vegan restaurant to share with my visitors; a tea that ALL instructors must put in their class-recovery kits (pictured below); auditioning for & securing my first TRX group class; sharing my SoCal and Los Angeles favorites with friends.
I hope you all had a great week and are looking forward to what is to come – Spring, extra daylight hours and the promise of more beautiful days as we edge toward summer!
