There’s a little person who tugs at my heart and I don’t want to miss out on seeing her grow up. I was able to spend time with my family between attending weddings and working while staying in the Midwest the last few weeks. The last time I posted about my niece was a little over a year ago. Time goes too fast.
She’s become so independent, walking and running about with the kind of reckless abandon that belongs to children. We had a bag of cherries for snacks one very warm Midwest afternoon. Once Clara tasted the tart little sweets there was no stopping our little cherry baby from consuming as many cherries as she could. Our little Cherry Baby seemed like the perfect nickname for the day.
Question: How do you balance work and spending time with those you love? Especially if you live far from your family or friend?
